JEWELLERY CARE GUIDE
Brass and copper naturally develop a rich patina over time—a natural process called oxidisation—which adds a beautiful new dimension to your jewellery. Each piece is treated with Renaissance Wax, creating a protective layer that helps slow this change. As the wax gradually wears away your jewellery will continue to evolve. If you prefer to keep your pieces shiny and bright, here are a few simple tips to help maintain their condition.

Care Tips
Store your jewellery in a pouch, box, or airtight bag. The box it arrives in includes a protective anti‑tarnish insert, making it an ideal place to keep your piece safe between wears.
Clean your jewellery before and after use with a soft cloth such as chamois or microfiber. This removes any oil or sweat from your skin which causes oxidisation.
Avoid sleeping, showering or exercising while wearing your jewellery as this can speed up the oxidisation process.
Soap, perfume, moisturiser and sun cream can also cause damage. So it's best to remove your jewellery before applying these products.
Cleaning
Regular cleaning is essential to prevent tarnish and keep your jewellery shiny and bright. There are several methods to do this:
Buff with a polishing cloth to remove dullness and restore shine. A quick wipe before and after wearing can help minimise tarnishing.
For a deeper clean, a paste of lemon juice and baking soda—or vinegar and salt—can gently remove tarnish. Dip a damp toothbrush or microfiber cloth into the mixture and rub gently to clean copper and brass. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Please take care to avoid any beads or semi-precious stones as this may damage them.
Polishing pads are great for removing tarnish and bringing metal to a high shine. Use them dry, and replace once both sides turn dark grey.
Embrace the Patina
If you love the aged look of copper and brass, embrace it and let your jewellery evolve naturally. The rich patina that develops over time adds character and uniqueness to every piece.
With a little regular care, you can enjoy the timeless beauty of copper and brass for years to come — whether you prefer the gleam of polished metal or the rustic charm of a natural patina.
