INSIDE COPPERLEAF STUDIO

Welcome to Copperleaf Studio!
I’m Kim, the designer and maker behind this little studio in Edinburgh, where every piece of jewellery begins its story. 🌿
Where Copperleaf Began
Jewellery‑making began as a hobby while I was working in retail. A few metalsmithing classes sparked a love for copper and brass, and what began as a pastime soon grew into Copperleaf Studio. From the first sketch to the final polish, each piece is made with love, by hand, at my workbench.
Love of Handmade
The changing seasons outside my window often guide my designs, shaping the textures and tones I choose. I’ve always loved the expressive quality of handmade items – their patinas and subtle irregularities that can’t be replicated. No two pieces are ever the same, and that individuality is what makes each one uniquely yours.
Materials with Meaning
Copper’s warm red‑orange tones and brass’s golden hues are the foundation of my work. They pair beautifully with semi‑precious stones and beads, chosen for their warmth, texture and the way they tell a story over time. My designs are always evolving as I experiment with new styles, colours and finishes, often inspired by quiet moments and seasonal shifts.
Care in Every Detail
I source materials from local suppliers who share my commitment to sustainability. Each order is wrapped in recyclable materials – kraft boxes, soft tissue and kraft tape – all designed with the same care as the jewellery itself. For me, slow fashion means care in every detail, from the making to the moment it arrives with you.
Rooted in Slow Fashion
Copperleaf Studio is grounded in slow fashion and earthy details. Every piece carries the marks of its making – textures, patinas and contours that speak of craft and individuality. I believe in jewellery that feels grounded, unique and full of meaning – made with care, ready to continue its story with you.
